The creation of a new mega steel plant for China’s Yunnan Province is progressing rapidly.
The plant, at Desheng V-Ti Metals Industry Park, is projected to produce 2.06 million tonnes of liquid steel and around 62,000 tonnes of vanadium slags a year. Its continuous casting plant will produce 2 million tonnes of slabs annually.
A basic oxygen furnace has been pushed into position, allowing the immediate installation of an overhead crane at the casting bay for the Park’s continuous casting plant.
The BOF features the self-adaptive constraint system CISDI-SACS, which is underpinned by 4-point linkage suspension expertise.
The patented sub-lance, model and robots at the ladle receiving position for casting, and the downstream BOF temperature measurement and sampling, will intensify the quality and smartness of the Park’s development.

Other huge tasks undertaken by CISDI, the project’s EPC-based services provider, include the lifting of a 146-ton LDG holder top system some 54.456 metres in to the air to meet its designated position.
The holder has an 80,000 cubic metre volume, a 54m diameter body and a height of 62m.
Its design and construction will ensure the piston runs stably and at a high throughput rate, and can be easily operated and repaired.
