A new model-C stockyard and an extension to a blending yard are now on-stream at Benxi Steel’s Beiying plant, which operates under Ansteel in China’s Liaoning Province.
CISDI was the EPC-based service provider and completed the project 10 days ahead of schedule.
Multiple examples of CISDI-patented tech and equipment have been applied:
1) The ECIA-C eco-friendly stockyard features a high storage capacity per measuring unit. It increases volume by around 8 per cent under the same conditions and decreases loss and consumption normally experienced at a conventional open yard by around 85 per cent.
2) Stacking is equipped with two CISDI-patented, elevated smart stacking cars.
The reclaiming process features three CISDI-designed and manufactured semi-portal scraper reclaimers. The separate operation of stacking and reclaiming not only enhances the yard’s productivity and its safety, it allows easier access for inspection and maintenance procedures.
3) Unmanned stacking and reclaiming and Digital Yard tech enable full-process integrated control and flow-based one-touch operation.
Benxi Steel and all construction partners worked closely together throughout the project and CISDI’s team was determined to hit all schedule milestones for the new C yard, the blending yard main line and the multiple modifications required.
The enclosed-yard’s full-line operation has transitioned the Beiying plant environments to eco standards and its production automation control has been balanced and stabilised.
