CISDI’s EIC has Shagang BOF3 up and running

CISDI’s electrical, instrumentation and computer system has supported Shagang Special Steel’s BOF3 into operation.
The project was a continuation of the BOF EIC’s design and supply from CISDI to Shagang in China’s Jiangsu Province.
Complicated contents and interfaces were overcome by BOF3’s EIC design, supply and commissioning, which covered the BOF’s proper system and its HRSG, discharging, charging, primary dedusting and utilities.
To counteract a critical lack of source data, CISDI’s team made multiple visits to site, collecting data and conducting onsite design processes. This helped to smooth the schedule for the downstream design and supply.
In collaboration with both the customer and constructor’s furnace commissioning plan, the team recommended optimal solutions to the automation network configuration and the drive control strategy.
The team also staged a training programme for Shagang’s technicians, staged a Q&A for the operators and fully consulted with Shagang on fulfilling process requirements.
CISDI’s impressive project execution and management standard and flexibility has resulted in advanced control of the BOF tilting’s fast and stable start, zero errors during the oxygen lance’s automatic, precise positioning, one-touch operation for automatic oxygen blowing and automatic discharging, and automatic switchover of the primary dedusting fan.
Shagang is reported to be delighted with CISDI’s high quality commissioning skills, schedule control and service.
