An LDG holder construction project has broken ground at the Hot Phat Dung Quat steel plant in Vietnam.
The first bottom plate for the 150,000 cubic metre gas holder was crane-lifted into place, marking the start of construction.
It will be CISDI’s second LDG holder in Vietnam; the company previously created one for Formosa Ha Tinh Steel.
Hoa Phat’s will be the world’s largest of its kind, with a diameter of 61.8 metres and a height of around 71 metres, and will be ultra-reliable, safe and stable, with a strong gas regulating capacity.
EPC-based service provider CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co will apply its innovative product - PRC-D type with two sections of rubber seals (PRC: piston, rubber seal and cylindrical shell).
The holder will have a typhoon-resistant and automatic piston levelling system and the piston’s maximum speed is designed to be five metres per minute.
