Construction advances at Baowu Zhanjiang’s Phase II

As the master designer of Baowu Zhanjiang’s Phase II, CISDI recently attended the plant’s acceleration assembly meeting.
Phase II is under construction, with a No. 3 blast furnace at its epicentre.
The target date for all plants and systems is September 2nd, 2021.
CISDI has master-planned this phase and is designing an expanded stockyard, blast furnace 3 (which has a volume of 5,050 cubic metres and will be world-class), a new continuous caster and a new hot strip rolling line.
It is also designing expansions for Phase I’s water treatment plant, power supply and distribution system, lab system and solid waste treatment plant.
A number of CISDI’s state-of-the-art processes and equipment advanced tech have been applied to the blast furnace:
• BCQ no-bell top
• large blower
• top-combustion stoves
• dust catcher and integrated automation control system
A relied-on service provider for over 40 years, CISDI is a major player in Baowu Zhanjiang’s design and construction.
Total solutions CISDI provided for Phase I included the master design, stockyard, blast furnace 1 & 2, continuous caster and hot strip mill designs and contracted supplies.
CISDI’s innovative processes, expertise and equipment for Zhanjiang have contributed to a construction world record for a 10Mt/a green, super-efficient carbon steel plant.
